Fader adjusts will now have to be on the Aux return. Channel EQ etc will be done on the channelĦ. It goes out and it comes back but the methodology for a channel insert seems to be:ĥ. I then have tested bringing this back into the desk with a simple jack/jack lead into the corresponding aux input. I can turn on the channel insert and route it to one of the Aux outs on the back. To make things more simple I considered patching a simple external piece of outboard before getting all "Waves" on yer ass. You boys and girls have all been playing with X32 since Uli was a baby so help me out! X32/M32 channel inserts, is it me or is this really lame? Maybe we are doing it wrong here. Like popping a C6 compressor on the kick drum or dropping JJP Drum stuff on the tom channels.Įrr. I am going to document this and show the latency.
I have my multitrack running Waves IR Live and modelling Lexicon 480L reverbs. StudioLive 16.4.I am working on a Waves integration tutorial piece and it occurred to me that it might be fun to try this on a Midas M32 using the USB interface straight into a Macbook running Multirack Native. I've also not used either product in quite a while and don't want to steer you wrong. Might need to give a yell to Waves about this.

A true Live sound breakthrough, MultiRack is a software host that lets FOH and Monitor engineers run multiple simultaneous instances of the same Native Waves plug-ins used in recording studios and mixing rooms the world over. And that sucks.Īny ideas about getting Waves Multirack effects onto the recorded tracks? Or (I know this isn't Presonus' favorite thing to hear) if any other digital mixer out there will allow such routing? Waves has introduced MultiRack, a plug-in platform designed especially for live sound.
But if I can't capture the Multirack effects on the channels and print them to the multi-track recording, that's gonna mean that the only way to get all the FX we use during the show onto the recording is either to re-create them afterward in the studio (HUGE PAIN) or just record a simple 2-track stereo main mix. I currently do this with my old rack-mount FX gear, but I was hoping to sell all that and go fully-digital, via something like Multirack. I'm using Waves Multirack Native through my 16.0.2 mixer with my band, and I eventually want to use my big MIDI foot controller to change parameters of the Multirack effects during the show, and capture each channel's effects on the recording. Regarding NOT getting Multirack effects onto the tracks of a multi-track recording - most people would NEVER want this, but I DO!! Repeat this on all tracks At this point, your session should be ready to record, and audio should be coming through visibly and look like.

I'm not gonna be able to do any testing with my studiolives for several months so I can't confirm. If you wish to route track outputs sequentially, (for a Virtual Sound Check, for example): Click Route Uncheck Master Send Under Audio Hardware Outputs, select the corresponding Sound Driver channel. Unless its trying to prevent a possible feedback loop. to a computer and work with MultiRack Native without using a SoundGrid server. I've not run Capture on my 1602 so I can't confirm.
